A full box of 12x Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR.2's.

Sometimes the 'Thanks', 'Like', 'Confused' & 'Sad' reactions aren't enough.

For occasions like this we need a 'What the f…..'

I take it you like Phantoms? Just a guess.

Cheers guys.

I do like the British Phantoms and I was one of the people who had been asking Airfix for years to do a British Phantom.

Now they have, I want to do at least one from each of the squadrons who operated them.

Hey Chris.

I had an email from Alistair at Aerocraft who says my order will be delayed due to demand.
I'm blaming you for the shortage! lol

Not guilty mate. Got my order in months ago.

The Airfix Phantom correction cans arrived from Aerocraft.
Have to say that Alistair provided a great service.  The caster had some sets and sent them directly :D

I ordered 2 sets because I have 2 Phantoms and now have extras because there are 4 in a set!
Does that mean I need to buy 2 more kits? xD

Popped into my LHS and in a complete reversal of the usual story, I came out with three bottles of transparent paint, when I went in for the new Hunter.
For some reason I didn't realise it is a series 9 kit and more than I was expecting to pay.
(Note this isn't a critique of the price, rather due to a subjective state of disposable income, or lack thereof lol)

Only bought one kit at the Bolton show today. More of a stash reduction to be honest though as I sold 9 kits from the stash.

This one has been sitting on a shelf in my 'local' for too long, it's not there now, intended to be another Seafire :)

I don't think I mentioned my recent kit purchase did I? Well here it is.

I know nothing about it other than it's ugly so while at the Bolton show I went looking and found this...

Perfect so now it has jumped to the head of the queue pushing my Tamiya Swordfish down the list a little (as I need a decent reference book on that now too).

That is a fugly Duck(ling)! You'll have to do some more of that German stuff with the squiggly bits on their tails soon or risk running out of yellow paint at this rate buddy.

Jamie had best run up a new batch of yellows

Still looking for a mk. 1 at the right price

This one came to me for £33.23 which I thought was good enough. It joins a Mk.1 in the stash that's planned as a machine from the Milltown Deck Landing School but I'm looking out for a T.1 to do as a Lossie-based one as well. Maybe we'll get lucky and find our kits going cheap at a model show some day :)

Let's hope so as SH don't have any mk 1s at the mo and I'm not buying that abomination from trumpeter

Much as I like Trumpeter's choice of subjects I just can't forgive their flawed renditions of them

I have the Grand Phoenix kit buried in the stash which I'll probably never get around to building. Shall we discuss it over PM?

Morning Chaps & Chapette's

Stupid little thing, but I have been after it for ages....

Traipsed half way round England looking for it a couple years ago, Nada. Wife was in a local hobby shop yesterday, saw it and remembered :)

Had the same thing with the Jackal set IIRC, eventually found it in Wales :)

A phone call from Ian at Scott's Models saw me off to Glasgow to collect this:

Not my usual scale but HMS Fulmar's SAR flight ones were the first helicopters I ever saw and as a bonus the kit gives transfers for a Lossie based one.
