Make 'em jealous! What did you just get?

Recommended Posts

Thinking of a WIP of this as it has very few parts. Just to get going. Good young @Dr Loopy very kindly sent a nice bundle of kits, and the Laird of Strathclyde gave me a sizeable standalone collection. Therefore it may be two  or three WIPs in rotating order 😲😁.

This Yak, an Eduard MiG 15 and, eek it looks difficult; an Airfix Buccaneer 🙂.

What do the studio audience think? Will keep me out of trouble 😁

I've bought an expensive magazine which cost me £12. :o

IMG_3575.JPG

It only has 11 pages and half of it is in German. Fortunately it says 'FREE collectable model kit inside' and it came with this 1/72 target:

It looks pretty good and I may even do one of those review thingies. Obviously my review won't be a glowing endorsement as it's an... end opening box. :crybaby:

Would love to see that being built. The halcyon days of front engined dragsters. Perhaps a peak at 1972-3? Remember the Corgi toys car/s?

this is Don Garlits car from mid 60s......the one that replaced this he had a major accident in, transmission exploded and took off half his foot.....thats when he designed one of the first rear engined dragsters

Something like these. Plentiful supply in the shops. I would send you some but they may have turned to wine by the time they reach you.

Makes a change from doing it with water I suppose.

This,

Sadly the decals are buggered but the kit looks to have significantly more detail than the Academy kit.

I can turn wine into water but only Bear Grylls is likely going to want to drink it

Pity it's an interesting scheme.

There's no less than 8 aggressor schemes in there as well as all the standard ones so it would have been great value.

I'm guessing that this boxing is now unavailable?
Just as well if it is, saves adding to the stash! lol

Hobbylink Japan did an aggressor sheet for the Japanese Air Force a few years ago.

Might be worth a quick email to see if they still have some.

Their decal selection is worth a visit, quite a few companies I've not seen over here.

When are they doing the complete kit then?

You'll just have to scratch-build it then.

You might need to order more plasticard.

She'd only be 3.7m long!

Your wish is my command Mr Mad and Arctica.

The Bismarck one is tiny!

I'd say a bit expensive for what you get, but the machining of these wouldn't have been cheap.

I've started looking at modding a few bits, particularly the rifling which I think was done by the resident mouse!

Love it though, but then I love anything to do with the Yamato....

Badly buggered? Or recoverable?

Looks a good scheme

Did some shopping last week. Some for an upcoming project - every version of the Typhoon, starting with the Tornado.

I'd not seen it before either but there seems to be a few different aggressor boxings of the kit in Hasegawa's history.

Perhaps they'll release it in bits like those part work magazines that eventually cost you £1500 for what would be a £50 kit.

Utterly buggered sadly. Flaking off the sheets in tiny bits :(
