I've one candidate in the micro stash, so count me in.

Any thoughts about start dates?

I'm in as long as it's towards the back end of year.

That suits me better as well.

Think that covers more than half my stash
I've got some Eduard WW1 kits that a friend gave me for buckshee, do they count?
Free is less than a tenner lol

One of my best Ebay bargains was the Airfix 617 sqn Anniversary set which I was able to pick up so it cost me all of £6.17
I sold the 1/48 for, iirc, 6 quid cos why not pass on the love.

But I've been thinking about my Dragon 1/72 Lockheed F-5 Lightning for a while.
Again 6 quid and I was able to pick up to eliminate postage costs.

will it be a lot later in the year?

do we have to prove it cost less than a Pavarotti?

another forum im on does something similar.............a bunch of them meet up at a certain show.....challenge is to buy something for under a fiver and they have a GB........bit unfair onthose of us that dont go to the show so its now includes buying from anywhere for under a fiver........fun to see some right old tat being turned into something nice

only asked cos i have something in mind that still has the £10 sticker on the end of the box......but even i still dont believe i got it for such an insanely low price......was at Sword and Lance show last year (oooooo....shows!....remember them?) and the stall behind us was selling mostly military kits.......but he had a handful of hard to find Revell car kits of American custom cars.......obviously didnt know what he had cos he priced them at a tenner each......i snaffled all three!.....id have paid £20 each and still thought of them as cheap!

absolutely, I have scored quite  a few bargains over the years and have a few candidates including a Tamiya 1/48 zero a fugimi 1/48 zero and an Italeri 1/48 Seahawk all under or on a tenner so there's a good chance, I also have a 1/32 BF109 G14 that I got from a show for a fiver.

Just checked and it's $17.57 Ozzie thingies.

So no trying to sneak through any of those $17.58 kits!

I just found an Airfix P1127 with a £2 price tag.

I was hoping that the pre decimalisation price tags on a couple would have survived but alas not.

That's bloody cheating that is!

Not fair when some kits in your stash are older than me.

Yes, a kit.

That means even less kits than I thought. I can't remember buying a kit for less than $20.00. Even the price-tag-less recent Airfix 1/72 Tiger Moth would have been more that $20 I think ("$23.99"). A Hobby Boss Lynx misses the cut at $19.99.

A quick scrabble shows that I have an old warty 1/72 Airfix Firefly Mk V, no price tag; a newish 1/72 Airfix Percival jet Provost ($16.99); a couple of Sea Venoms (Eastern Express + John Aero, gifts from @Arctica 123); 1/72 Brengun Natter (gift von @Arctica 123, $22.00, so out if gifts not allowed, see below); a Lindberg 1/48 Gladiator ($2.00?); 1/48 Dragon Fw-190 ($5.00?). Do gifts count, or does one have to factor in how much they cost the giver?

Owwwwwdooooo... :)

Ok, so working on the exchange rate of R21.50 to the Pound, That gives me a limit of R215

Rumaging through the stash, I have these....

This lot range from R100, (Airfix MGB) through to R210 (RAF Emergency set)  - Oh And there's one more, Tamiya 48th Japanese Kuragane Staff Car @ R199.

I'm thinking of doing maybe 2 :)

Today's currency conversion rate puts 10 quid to 16.9522 Canuck Bucks.

No, not quite that kind.

Anyway, I have a kit or two which falls into this category.

Im not sure what part of that picture is more disturbing.... that you have a large stuffed deer thingie in your garden, or that you have glassosaurus bones quite tastefully displayed on your patio eaves 😬
