Who Said Tractors Ain't a Thing of Beauty

Recommended Posts

Think it was @Kevin asked to be proved wrong about the lack of aesthetic appeal of agricultural machinery.

MiniArt have just released some pictures of their forthcoming German Agricultural Tractor, D8500 Mod 1938 that might just do that!

You pop into the farmhouse for a quick ploughman's lunch and when you come back some bugger's nicked the tyres!

Be still my beating heart :x

Was it designed by a committee?

I remember  seeing one of these a year or two ago during one of my Goolgising marathons and wondering if there was a kit.

I live in Cornwall-land and I have a certain empathy with the above.

I’ve got a batch of ‘modern-ish’ German (Faun)! Russian, Chinese, and US trucks from Trumpeter, Italeri, AFV Club (all military though).

Cool! Thanks Miggers.
Who would have thought you'd have to spliff up to get a tractor started xD

I definitely have a soft spot for tractors.

I’ve got one of me racing an articulated tractor somewhere but I can only find this at the moment. Never seen one in the UK but someone from further afield will know what it is. Yours truly in about 1982.

True. I'd be ok. Most farmer's I know have a shotgun cert. JD certainly make some fair tractors. The farm where I shoot has JD's and Fendt's, big ones too .

It’s not strictly a tractor I’m taking out there, it’s a cotton picker so more akin to a harvester. Great view from up there though.

Ah I was wondering what it was.
I thought it was a mecha with all the arm cannons and weapons  and legs removed

I would sack my photo host if I were you - but the real and significant problem is finding a good one that isn’t Stalkers-R-Us. Flickr is good, but has, much to my extreme annoyance, suddenly got very expensive (in my opinion). As for BotoPhucket, phorgeddit! Do not touch!

I've not had problems with the host.  The pictures not showing are those where I've copy pasted the image address in "insert other media"
The pictures in the OP were from Facebook iirc and that may be the problem.
I noticed some pics in the F-5 thread in Industry News have also disappeared.  They too were from Farcebook

Ah...that will do it EVERY time! Feckb*k’s image urls change or expire with extreme rapidity. Never use a Bacefook

link! Copy photo, launder it to your hard drive, then upload from there. F***book is pure poison and I have nothing to do with it.

Apologies for the rant  but we are still - seven or eight years on - getting over the bullying of our daughter on said site. There were serious and very unpleasant  consequences. And that’s just the immediately personal reasons. There are myriad others.

 over.

Farcebook won't work as a host as they deliberately splat links to stop people using as a host.

You'd have to copy the pics and put a copy on your usual photo host if you don't want them to disappear.
