This is the Hasegawa 1/48 scale F86F-40 modified using the kit parts to depict the Canadair Sabre6 used by the Germans in the early sixties

The only extra was the addition of the 'sugar scoops' fitted to allow extra air flow into the Orenda engine.

Kit went together fine but the decals were another matter,I do wish decal manufacturers would at least try the decals on a kit before selling them to the public.

The nose decals fitted where they touched which made me overpaint them with a mix of Tamiya acrylics, also the decal instructions would have you paint the wingtips yellow but the photo I worked from had no yellow tips and the intake painted yellow plus the 'Stuka'drop tank fins yellow as well.No mention of them in the instructions.

Aeromaster decals were used and a comparison of the later Airdoc decals showed exactly the same problems.
