Anyone know what a gundam is

Recommended Posts

Hi all, as a little light relief from the Cutty Sark I wanted to build something I've never done before, has anyone built a robot before.

I've ordered a gundam from bandai (the last of their kits I built was the Pendle princess and the rolls Royce balloon car) (both amazing kits) sadly no longer produced.

If this kit is any where near as good as those kits were it will be great.

I intending to do it (as I love all things old and rusty) neglected in a field somewhere.

Looking forward to its arrival.

If the Bandai Gundams are as good as their Star Wars stuff - and I'm led to believe they are - then you won't be disappointed.

A friend of mine owns a hobby shop called Gundam Plus. The seem very popular, not my thing though so I just stick to the "plus" side of the store!

A member of the Club I used to go to builds a lot of them. They virtually click together apparently so he would paint the bits up first before assembling them. They are very big in Japan (and before the comedians start up he had a photo taken beside one at a Show in Japan and it was 30ft tall so yes they can be physically big too :harhar:).

Gundam (or GunPla) are a fabulously fun build.

BanDai have made them as SnapFix, and to a point, precoloured. But, I now have a few in the pile and the next will be in a camo scheme.

Go for it, look forward to the result
