Academy 1/48 North American B-25G Mitchell (12290)

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Here is todays progress after a couple of hours spread over the day. And I have changed my mind as to the finished build, I am going for the second decal option :D

I am not big on doing a lot on the interior...just enough to not look too plain :analintruder:

Cheers lads

Hi all,
No pictures on this wee update I am afraid, but sufficed to say the airframe is more or less complete, however I am really not enjoying this build...I can not put my finger on why TBH.

But hey ho, carry on regardless :analintruder:

Hi all,

I decided to take a picture of the progress from last night...perhaps I shouldn't have as I dropped it on its nose breaking the 2 .50cal MG's :X

To get her to sit properly I have had to fill any available space with weight, I originally thought the weight I put in the nose would be adequate, oh how wrong was I :PMSL:

More soon...maybe :harhar:

That isn't written into your programme :D

As a boy I was fascinated by the actions of these ship busting Mitchells.

Appears that none of that variant was preserved after the war. but there are 7 of the later B-25Hs still alive.                                                                                                                                              If you get fed up with the USAAF one you could always do one of the 2 RAF ones. FR208 and FR209.(photo)

Hi all,

Anyone got a cat? Twats aren't they  Anyhow I was doing a wee bit of modelling on the Mitchell this morning and required a comfort break, Morag the modelling cat was asleep in her basket (as she always does when I am in the cave) under the bench. However on my return Morag was sat on the bench and the Mitchell was on the deck in bits, cracked canopy, broken undercarriage, one engine broken off and more besides. It is now in the box of doom until I can be bothered with it :X

Any how, I think I will start a 262 tomorrow

Sorry bout that Mac... one of the reasons we don't have a cat. (oh and there's the thing about the wife being severely allergic to them too :D
