TAMIYA 1/6th HARLEY DAVIDSON FLH CLASSIC

Recommended Posts

Afternoon Everyone :analintruder:

Well, its done, and what a beast...

It weighs just over 2.5kilos, 40cm long and 26cm high (top of windscreen).

Honestly, if you've ever had a hankering to build one of these big scale bikes, go and buy one and build it, they are fantastic kits and they are not difficult to build at all.

I'm surprised by the Harley, honestly. I wasn't really that into build it because I'm not really a big Harley fan, but what's the point of having a huge box on the shelf instead of a nice model. I built the old Matchbox FLH many years ago and it sat on the shelf many years after that, but this needed to be built

First up, all paints are Tamiya, the Majority TS 13 Gloss Black rattlecan, and various metallic shades. I had planned to strip all the chrome but changed my mind... Harley's of this era were big flash shiny machines, and I actually think it turned out ok...
