PaulC 70
I bought this recently, so thought I'd make a start Engine and chassis are first. It seems a nice representation of the 2.6l petrol straight six, but the chassis seems a bit over-bulky, especially the leaf springs. I'm no Landy expert, but they just seem that way to me... I found a couple of paints in my collection that seemed to match Land Rover's own colours. Edited March 16 by PaulC

Possibly related to its status as the beast of choice to go lurching over rocks for weeks on end.

PaulC 70
I finished it at the weekend, but before the reveal, here's the interior And the exterior I replaced the standard steering wheel, as I've never been a fan... And a sneak of the finished item... Edited Monday at 06:38 AM by PaulC

There are three working farms and two riding stables along the lane where I live, and their delightful slurries get periodically transported from collecting pit to field. But none of them has quite grasped that a muck-spreader is not just a slurry truck being driven down the road a bit too fast. When we first moved here I had dreams of riding my bike into town to do the shopping; that didn't last long! The only touch missing is the smear on the front door sill where the passenger caught their trousers. Edited Monday at 11:12 AM by steelpillow 1
Miggers 7,769
Bung a pair of wellies,a spaniel and a 12 bore in the back, that's how most Landies around here used to be seen. Nice work mate,it looks every 109 inches like a well used County Station Wagon.

A burr would be about 0.5mm across at 1:24...

The rest have (eventually) arrived at their destination! I really like the model, now I know it's a 2.6, I'll have to have one! Here's mine, circa 1991 with eldest sproggette in situ: I have to assume the Landy is no longer around, it hasn't been taxed or MOT'd since 1998. I unfortunately had to get rid after a year. On a Student Nurse's salary, the beast's thirst was unsustainable- 12mpg(!) in commuting traffic, and around 22 in overdrive on a 55mph motorway trundle. But she had a glorious six-pot burble . . . 1
