RWG686 35,545
I have only seen two Mirage IIIs. The IIIE at Elvington and a IIIRS at Kosice, Slovakia. I've chosen the Swiss one for this build. The C.70 means that the aircraft has been modified with the 70% canard wings. I have two kits and a conversion set. I'll let you know later which of them I will use. Here's the airframe, R-2108, I'll attempt:

RWG686 35,545
I will be using this kit because I can't find the other one I thought I had. Unfortunately when Matchbox went bust their trench digger moved over to PJ Nice resin ,PE and decal sheet though.
RWG686 35,545
The PJ kit is over-engineered and has trenches so I thought I'd be smart and use a Special Hobby kit purchased at the Perth show. Anybody want to buy a Special Hobby Mirage IIIC ? The IIIR was based on the IIIE which is 12 inches longer than the C. So the subject will now be a mishmash of PJ and a Revell Kfir involving more cutting and filling than if I'd just used the PJ kit. A typical Gault creation then. Started by making the cockpit look less naked. This will be refined once dry.
