GW Saurus Old Blood

Recommended Posts

This could have gone in my figures build thread if I'd taken any pics before it was finished, but I didn't so it hasn't and here it is instead.

Back in the day GW just listed this race as Lizardmen, gave them a bit of backstory and let you get on. Now they've got a new name and no doubt loads of new fluff and what-have-you's but they're still basically Aztec lizards with too much bling which makes them fun to paint.

Pics taken on my phone, loaded onto Facebook, downloaded from there to my laptop, added to Imgur then posted here. Took longer than painting the thing :D

Good stuff. Funnily enough I was walking past Games Workshop in Chelmsford the other day and they had some nicely painted stuff in the window that led to an irrational desire to go and buy some. Fortunately they were shut.

It's a slippery slope and one best avoided if at all possible. Modelling catnip at eye watering prices - I'd hate to be trying to get into it as a game rather than the odd painting exercise these days.

There's another in Hockley on an industrial estate I pop in there as they stock alclad (sorry what ever its called these days) and yeah the prices for the gaming, wow
