Eduard 1/48 Grumman Hellcat Mk.I (8223)

Recommended Posts

Hi all,
Here is my latest build.

Eduard 1/48 Grumman Hellcat Mk.I (8223), JV132, 800 Sqn FAA, HMS Emperor, 8 May 1944:

During Operation Hoops, Lt Blythe Ritchie of 800 Sqn FAA gained a kill over an Fw 190A from JG 5 whilst flying Hellcat JV132. It was his fifth kill, his first in a Hellcat, and consequently, one of the few kills by a Hellcat over the Luftwaffe. Six days later, during Operation Potluck A, Ritchie gained another aerial victory whilst flying JV132, this time a He 115 floatplane and a shared kill with Lt.Cdr Stan Ohrr:
