If you're looking for alternative paint schemes, I've got several Aviaeology sheets for USN and RCAF Venturas. Sheet 1, 2, 3 & 4. These were review samples, so I won't charge anything. If you're interested, please let me know :)

Making some progress on the Ventura . I used the kit provided decals on the IP . The Ultra Cast resin wheels had the perfect depth on the tread for my wash . Wheels painted with Mr color and Tamiya LP -11 paints . Then weathers with oil wash on the hub and mig pacific dust on the tires . Struts painted with Tamiya LP-11 and weathered with oil wash .

  • 2 weeks later...

Spent the morning working on the Vector resin props . Clean up was really easy. I used three different sized drill bits to drill the hole out for the prop shaft. The fit was a lille tight so i used a Tamiya snading spongs to sand the kit prop shaft and the fit was better. Now to was the prop and spray some primer :)

Spent the last few days assembling the airframe  and sanding it . The Identifaction light was installed as a clear piece in the bottm and painted with Tamiya clear coloers. Once dry its still looked to trasnlucent . So made a little trangle box witha flat side undernieghth and sprayed it with Tamiya LP-11 . Glued it in and much  better results . Next to install the bomb doors shut . Stay tuned :)

Spent the last few days getting the four piece bomb bay doors glued closed. For some reson it seems Monogram/Revell kits are sometimes only ment to be open. Little bit of work then can be closed. I added little bits of plastic to strenghen the middle sction of the doors that hinge . colwings also been painted installed with engines. Still another fews weeks of stuff then paint time :)
