Afternoon Everyone :w00t:

I'm just going to park this here for the moment. (People and base will be forthcoming)

Lovely kit, such a cloud of nostalgia came over me when building this'.

Finished with Tamiya Dark Green, and a light dry brush, but its almost invisible in the photo so might do a little more.

Greetings all! Here is my humble effort for this group build. This is the venerable Tamiya 1:35 British 25 Pdr. Field Gun and Quad Gun Tractor (Canadian Ford FGT) ... phew thats a mouthful! This has been in my stash for many years and finally got round to building it up. This is why I like these GBs as it gives me the opportunity to dig out my 'strange buy' kits! I dressed it up as a Canadian 1st Infantry Division of later in the war. I painted it using Mig Ammo SCC 15 (Brit 1944-45 Olive Drab) which goes on very nicely. I tried to provide a bit of colour variation with lighter shades and also tried a bit of oil shading. The earth mix is pastels and applied liberally, finally masked up the wipers and lightly sprayed a very light tan to give it a dusty look, I also tried to 'wipe clean' some of the side windows to make it look like they had been cleared with a grubby fist! Opened up the door and had it like the driver was just sat waiting for the rest of his crew turn up from a pee break (not going to bother with that type of diorama though 😄

No way I'm going to complete the full dio in time so here are things as they currently stand.

The main bit is the Karl-Geraet motar.

Build thread.

With its (as yet uncompleted) ammunition/crane tanky thing, and the (also still to be completed) halftrack in the background.

Build thread for the tanky thing.                  Build thread for the halftrack.

The thing at the back is the rail carrier for the motar.

Still got the base and few figures to do. Hopefully the final pics will be better than these.

Please remember that if you want to comment, please use the build threads.

Thanks to Vaastav for suggesting the very enjoyable GB and Steve for organising it.
