Type 166 Schwimmwagen 1/35th Tamiya kit (mm224)

with the wheels painted in initial base colours and fitted to the axles, the propeller is propped up so it can dry in the raised position.

top marks to Tamiya for there fine long tools, so nice and straight, finely molded, these are the last parts to go on the model. The kit figure won't be used. He's in the spares box Figure section.

that's all the parts fitted, but still a long way to go with touching in and weathering. I've mislaid the windscreen glazing, I'f I can't find that I'll be replacing it with broken glass.

it will be mud smeared but relatively undamaged as it's slipped down a muddy slope in Italy. So I'll be adding that when I have the groundwork ready with the diorama. For the time being it's going on the waiting shelf.

All this VW stuff has spurred me on to weld up Mickey's left side door, this is a long term project, you can see why, just looking at this door.
