Well here we go and this will be my entry when we open. Not sure when I'll be starting yet.

I'll probably do option 2 and this will need careful planning I expect

Looks like you'll have fun with this Darren. I have been planning the build of my Triplane down to the exact minute, working out a build schedule, what colours to paint and when etc. It makes Operation Overlord look like an afternoon's trip to the seaside 😃

Well Andy I'm thinking of painting the prop first then the lozenge decals on the wings to give them enough time to dry. I will then build what I can then the start of the second day do the rib tapes followed by more building with an aim to it all being together with rigging by the end

Far too much planning!! I haven't decided on what to do yet, Bf109 sounds fine but might have to go for something a little different.

I did a 109 last year and it was too easy! No last minute panic etc. But the G6 a certain retailer north of the border sold me was on the short list of my two weekend kits

Well so I started this at 11:00 am this morning and by 7:40 tonight I got as far as I could. not shown are the prop undercarriage which are also started.

the lozenge decals i must have missed a trick somewhere as there is no way the pattern lines up either with the ribs where the tapes go or with each other but it'll look ok I guess, anyway on to the pics

Ok its sapping my will to live now and working quickly is allowing mistakes in. so today I have:

finished the Lozenge with the rib tapes which took an age. then I rigged the tail and the undercarriage which caused me no end of swearing due to the fact that i had to work quickly. I replaces the control horns that were plastic with brass as they were just not staying in place. decals are on and a flat coat has been applied and note the top wing has been fixed using the outer struts
