The GWH Su-35S Flanker E has arrived

Recommended Posts

After what seems like months (it probably is!) the brand new Great Wall Hobby 1/48 Su-35S Flanker E has arrived in stock at BlackMike Models. I have only had a brief glimpse in the box so far but it looks like a fantastically detailed kit. The batch I have are from the first issue so have the optional tinted canopy parts which is a bonus I wasn't expecting.

I will get some photos of the sprues etc taken and post them up as soon as I can. In the meantime you can head over to the BlackMike Models website and get your hands on one now with free postage within the UK.

Here are some photos of some of the plastic in the well packed and very full box. I haven't included photos of every sprue, just some of them.

Sorry for some of the photos being taken through the bags, at the time of taking the photos i hadn't quite succumbed to the voices in my head saying "buy one" (but that state didn't last too long after seeing the contents).

It would sit very nicely alongside the AMK Mig31.

Yes it would, I have a couple of them left too. Maybe if nobody buys them I can have one?

It blows the MiG away by a huge margin.

Thanks to Mr bank balance reducer Duncan I can honestly say without a shadow of doubt it is truly awesome and worth every penny. It’s expensive yes, but you won’t be disappointed.

Roll on the MiG-25PD......... oh yes, that’s Duncan’s fault too.

I maybe shouldn’t tell you about the new Ltd Ed GWH Slovakian Digital Tiger 2014 Mig 29AS that’s coming next week then? :)

Nice try, but too modern. I like the earlier ones like I saw at Farnborough when they first came over. You’d honestly think they’d been built on the Clyde, with rivets the size of dinner plates......well nearly.

Find me a 9-12 early and you’d be talking. Was stupid enough to think I’ll get one later........

I like a challenge! Not much of a challenge though as it turns out. Is this the one?

Allegedly it will be back in stock soon.

I wouldn’t worry col. I reckon you could get three Academy ones for what this will likely cost!

But which would he rather build, 3 Academy ones or one of these? Alternatively, I could sell you another 2 Academy ones Col (as I was typing this a curious thought flashed across my mind. The name C.M.O.T. Dibbler came into view, "Come and get your enjoyable ratonastick snack here". Previously I had always considered myself to be more akin to a certain 'Wizzard').*

Then the shame is on me. Either you've completely lost it, or my goldfish memory is striking again.

And whilst we're at it, what's this 'build' lark you refer to?

Cut My Own Throat Dibbler was the name of a dodgy Street Trader in the Discworld series of books. :)

(I completely lost it years ago)

‘To Build’ : V. English, to gather a collection of plastic in boxes with the intention of assembling the contents at some indeterminate time in the future. See also ‘Stash’, ‘Addiction’

Ah. Never read the Discworld series. Tried to, but couldn't get into it at all.

I now understand 'build', I think.............

What we need, to carry around our stash, is some proper ' luggage'!

Books to make you laugh out loud!

You could get everyone's stash in the luggage.
