Recommended Posts

time for a bit of armour again

an ancient kit!..............this was new tool back in 1971 and it shows......kit is very basic by modern standards, but that dosnt bother me too much since i got it for nothing

dont know what sort of camo its going to get yet.........might try putting some cargo on the back deck cos theres something i want to try as a tarpuline

These Tamiya kits may be old, but they are by no means bad, they sometimes have better fit than some other companies' new models

agreed

the joy of an older kit like this means it goes together quick and simple, really is a shake and bake.......no fiddling around with a zillion tiny parts or pe that the carpet monster is hungry for

state of play.....

camo didnt come out how i envisioned but im going with it,.......got some over spray too but i think once a wash and some weathering goes on it will all blend in a bit

nice and shiny cos the decals have been added and ready for a wash which will be the next job

not sure how well this is working

started off with a dirty black enamel wash, then went to an oil dot filter to see what happens........just not sure about it........letting it all dry for a day or three before it gets a matt clear coat on top

plan is once everything is finally assembled it will get a dusty mist coat to the lower half to give it a bit of a dirty look

I tend to lighten the whole lot with a mist of buff before weathering but that's me

I've trying spraying some abs on my beer belly to make me look fit, too!

Oh... I see what you mean.
