I wouldn't describe him like that at all. Oh no, far too many words, one is enough... On the subject of starter sets I once overheard the late Darrell Burge say that the most important Airfix products in respect of turnover are Quickbuild, gift and starter sets.

The quickest way is to suggest that maybe a review should involve an attempt at building the kit in question

Mad Steve 20,611
Afternoon Everyone What are the colours you use for modern british vehicles,(preferably Tamiya Colours.) I usually use Nato Green & Black for normal camo, and was using Desert Sand for Desert camo, but I was advised XF60 Desert Yellow is a better choice. So, whats your advice on both? TIA
Tolvcat 3,529
The colour since 1948 has been BS381C-361 Light Stone. Best Tamiya match I can find is Buff. Sounded odd but when I looked at the actual paint, it does make sense. Obviously test it first, your eye and my monitor could be a world apart. Andy

I done a sperriment since I was painting a British desert scheme tonight. This is Hataka Light stone compared to Tamiya XF-57 Buff and XF-60 Dark Yellow. The Buff is a much closer match to the naked eye, because my naked eyes don't use flash. So there you go. Dark Yellow for Gremans. Buff for Brits. Simples. Mad Steve 20,611
Kuuuuuuwell The Hataka is closer to Desert Yellow (XF59)
Mad Steve 20,611 Posted yesterday at 04:21 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 04:21 PM Afternoon Everyone Couple years back, Tamiya released their version of the new restyled Monkey 125 bike... Recently, Honda released the new version of the Dax, an Iconic mini bike from the 70's... Just a hunch, but we might be seeing this one on Tamiya's book in the not too distant future
