MikeC 154 Report post Posted October 6, 2017 This one's flown in under my radar, as it were - anyone know anything? New tool? Tamiya rebox? ????? https://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/revell-148-bristol-beaufighter-tfx/
Grunhertz 2,808 Report post Posted October 6, 2017 I wouldn’t think a tamiya re box but if it is I’m in
Col. 711 Report post Posted October 6, 2017 A Tamiya kit with all its minor faults was used as a display model when the kit was announced but the story was we can expect a brand new tooling.
MikeC 154 Report post Posted October 7, 2017 (edited) Thanks Gents. I think I may well buy one, particularly with the TT markings option apparently in the box. Edited October 7, 2017 by MikeC
Col. 711 Report post Posted October 7, 2017 £36.99 retail seems rather expensive to me. While the Beaufighter was a substantial aircraft and will be a good chunk of model in 48th scale is it really £7 more than the same manufacturer's new Tornado F.3 kit? Grunhertz 2,808 Report post Posted October 7, 2017 Agreed col. that puts it in tamiya price range. But then they are charging 25 notes for an eduard weekend 190 d9
sovereignhobbies 839 Report post Posted January 15, 2018 This was announced a while back but I've seen no images of the sprues or even a 3D model screenshot. I think it'll be a good one to wait and see with. Revell are as dependable as Trumpeter when it comes to building in bizarre shape problems that are very hard to correct. Col. 711 Report post Posted January 15, 2018 From what I understand the Revell kit should be released around July or August.
Paul Brown 795 Report post Posted January 15, 2018 Their newsletter says July. Seeing as the kit was supposed to be released late in 2017 I'll remain a tad sceptical.

Fair point Paul. As with every other kit manufacturer we'll know for sure once we see it on the shelves

Grunhertz 2,808 Report post Posted June 13, 2018 Just seen a pre order ad for this. 36 quid? Not sure if I'll bother it'll have to be good
Paul Brown 795 Report post Posted June 13, 2018 Spencer Pollard posted a video of a test shot he'd been sent on Facebook last week. I can't find it to link, but I had a look at the time and it would seem that Revell have produced something rather special. RevellAtions are supposed to be getting a sample, as soon as we have something to show it'll get posted up.
