Supposed to have been a bit of a beast I believe.

A very competent AFV on the Porsche chassis.

I like on the box lid how it's a bit of a "We haven't not got much zimmerit paste in stock lads,so we'll just put it on

up as high as those short a*sed Russian squaddies can reach with a sticky mine"

Today's Pachyderm poking - first adding the upper hull

I've got the Tamiya Zimmerit Sheet

After 4 Hours of cutting and sticking it's on - They do work nicely, but needed to use a couple of dabs of CA on the edges. I do wish Tamiya had cut them out though, all the holes are a pain.

A Bit more done today - made up the Link and Length tracks, added all the hatches, clips to the hull and then on with Black primer

This weekends work - First another moan about the vinyl Zimmerit. After a week some of the edges started to peel, especially where it has gone over a curved surface, so i'm less impressed with it than before.

 

Anyway distressed some of the edges with a scalpel, and added the 3 decals.

 

On with a filter to tie the cammo together

Then a pin wash

Then finally added some dirt / mud around the running gear

Today's work - added some more dust

Then sprayed the tracks with Alclad Steel as a base,

Followed by some dust / dirt then rubbed with steel pigments then fitted the tracks and spare links

Then where the Zimmerit is 'damaged' edged with a grey then filled in with primer red

Finally for the day, dot filtering followed by a light matt coat
