Kolibri - Hand made Synthetic Golden sable Brushes

Recommended Posts

My thoughts:

  • Seem undersized (more probably made to a slightly different standard), but the 4 flat looks like a 2 flat when compared to my other brushes, and the 0 point looks like a 2/0
  • The points are very good - hold their points really well, and stay nice and sharp.
  • The flats are too soft really - I mainly use them for stumping oils back, and I was hoping they'd be a bit stiffer - not helped really by the first point

Overall a solid 7/10 - not great. The sizing issue it probably the biggest issue for me.

Unfortunately there aren't any standards to brush sizes. The numbering systems is the same, but the same numbered brush from different manufacturers can vary in size.

I'll add the brush width and lengths to the website shortly, so people know the head size. These brushes all have the same synthetic bristles, so will all be the same softness. I'll have a look and see if what the options for stiffer brushes are.

Thanks,

Paul
