Thanks. Got a couple of pics for you. Zvezda T-90 (welded turret) is a bit painted. Trumpy T-90 (cast turret) has a while to go. and a Centurion that was a Vietnam war one, built as an Israeli Shot (because i lost some parts for the Vietnam one).

Work continues on the Trumpeter T-90. The Hull is just about finished. Turret is about halfway. I used an RB T-72 Barrel, cut down the front and used the slide molded muzzle from the kit

Yep, tricky gluing those straps on though.

Nice, busy looking project. The barrel looks the business and aluminium is ideal for the job but sometimes it acts like Teflon when it comes to gluing other stuff to it. You seem to have managed it rather neatly.

Look forward to the rest!

Paint on the Zvezda T-90.

I used Tamiya paints thinned with X20.

Airbrush: Iwata Eclipse HP-CS

Masked using Science putty.

Just a few touch ups to do.

I'm Intrigued. Why the slide moulded barrel muzzle?

Was the RB the wrong kind of 2A46?

Rich

I bought the T-72 RB barrel back when there wasn't a metal T-90 one on the market. And yes the muzzle is different. Dunno for sure if its slide molded in the kit but its one piece.

Both kits in box tracks are very good.

I don't know if the sag i gave them is correct. I was just practicing and you wont see it anyway.

Thanks for watching.

Btw. With the Trumpeter tracks it's much easier building them reverse to what the instructions say. The way I did it was to build the track links on the jig first and then put a small dab of Tamiya extra thin (or any weld glue) in the middle of the track and ad the guide horn afterwards.

Been doing a little on the AFV club Centurion. The kit didn't come with the added side armour for the Shot. So I built it using plasticard, bolts from Mengs bolt plastic set and some very thin brass rod.

1 day left. Hmmm oh well I think I had a good crack and will continue these builds elsewhere on the site :)

Cheers for all the support

Don't know whether the sag on your tracks are right or wrong but to me they just look natural. I think you'd have to be pretty anal to find fault with your work, I like both models. Shame to cover it all up with paint but it does look good!
