  2. Hi all, As I want to Harrier in desert camo while Sword's T's are sold out locally, I decided to convert Airfix Harrier GR.1. (exactly as described in Harrier in Action). I got some good sideview on D&S, what I lack is good top and bottom view along with tailview, unfortunately, not everything is obvious from photos, though it's good aid. Does anybody have excerpt from good plans of dual stick Harrier to share? Especially I have the problem with tail. Thanks in advance!
  3. Hi, chaps. Some of you already answered my call for resources. Recent Airfix releases (New Tools, of course) I consider really interesting. Cheap, at least in the basic boxing, considerably detailed, though a little heavy, not like Matchbox trenches. Simply said - kits good to exercise some modelling skills, with enough styrene to scribe, file, sand, cut - exactly, good for projects like GR.1 to T.2/4. Some cuts already performed...

I was reading an old copy of Flypast when I came across the attached article, and the black and white photo just said "Build Me" It was a race sponsored by the Daily Mail, a Transatlantic Race - top of the Post Office (BT) Tower to the top of the Empire State Building. The RAF entered 3 harriers, the RN a Phantom FG1 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the attempt and Jet Art Aviation are restoring the victor - Harrier GR1 XV741 My brain has already worked out how to do most of this. I am Tempted to enter it into the RAF100 Group Build, but I don't knowhow I'll find the time!
  5. Hi everyone! My first project to be shared on this here new forum! Cool! Over the last few months I've been working on my dream project, one that I've wanted to do for around 30 years, convert the ancient 1:24 Airfix Harrier into a two-seat T.2 trainer. Those of you who ever tried to build even the basic kit will know just how tricky that can be(!), so adding to the load with a scratchbuilt nose, tail, tail fin and a complete redetailing job, is bordering on insane! Still, I've started and now there's no turning back! So far I've lengthened the nose, and started to scratchbuild
