  1. I swear, all I did was open the box and have a look, The usual top quality BanDai kit. Super crisp mouldings, snap-fix and in the one colour grey. Next thing, the head has miraculously built itself (while I watch a film)
  2. Time to try and break the mojo blockage. And what better way than with Academys mighty Bone, an aeroplane I finally got to see fly this year. I want to follow this DY scheme as much as I can, sadly the flaps on the wings don't drop on the kit, so a parked up build rather than taxiing or 'landing', but this should be fun. Kit comes in a darkish grey that if you didn't want to paint, would pass ok (photo is a little dark) Naturally, a blast of Halfords grey primer went on first. Then the wheel wells were given a bit of silver, then a coating of white.
  3. Finally the kit has arrived so I'm in with this, Only the two hull sides and 2 sprues so should be quite simple but looks fun

    Tiny TSR-2

Hi all, Bit of a quick build for me, this. Just filling in a few hours between magazine builds, and went for a simple kit with a simple scheme. Enter the Pit Road TSR-2, which fits beautifully in many places, and doesn't in others. The undercarriage is incredibly fiddly, and the instructions would have you open all the gear doors, like the one at Cosford, although in reality most of them only opened when the gear was travelling. The aerodynamic surfaces are so thinly moulded that they're actually translucent in the right light! Here's the Great White Paper Dart:
  5. As the seasons change, and winter approaches, it is time to return to the bench with the stress levels almost back to nermal. So, what to kick the mojo off with? Typhoon, Catalina, nope, a small (and I mean Small!) Razor Crest. Bandai jobby off ebay, and I knew it was not going to be large, but I didn't think Tiny! Yes, that's the Whole kit on an A4 file. Strangely,Im looking forward to this
  6. Because, what else is there for me to do today? A dig into the Telford Gundam haul and a quick 24 hr build. Firstly, anyone read Japanese? Just as well this is a BanDai kit All I have done so far is prime the sprues while I workout a Stealthy colour scheme for this.
  7. Another Emirates commission now ready to send off to the customer. This is the Zvezda kit wearing 26Decals. A superbly manufactured model by Zvezda and a far cry from the horrible Mincraft -200 alternative. Built as a ceiling hanging display for the customer who is a frequent Emirates passenger and wanted to remember her recent flight in 1/144 scale. She's a big Boeing and if you speak / read Arabic, you might just spot an error!
  8. So I've just started this and its a place holder for in progress shots and this is a ship kit I AM going to finish (my track record isn't good so ill be looking for encouragement) I have sovereign Hobbies colour coats for the main paint and this will not be the masterclass that is Pauls' build of its big brother so watch this space and something will be along soon
  9. Bandai Y-Wing Starfighter 1/144 Scale Vehicle Model 005 Bought on ebay for £5.99 So I bought this on eBay for a fiver as due to stupid licensing rules Bandai kits aren't available in the UK. I didn't know what to expect but. Here goes. So in the tiny box which is a tray and lid type box we have 4 sprues in white plastic and a stand in black. Along with a sheet of stickers? And the first thing that comes to mind is why stickers, but then when you see the size of this kit you understand that these kits are probably aimed at the casual modeller, kids or wargamers.
  10. Okay, not quite, but you simply can't look at a Victor and not think about Gerry Anderson. I'll submit the Great Wall 1/144 Victor B.2 in its late '60s low-level camouflage scheme. I''m a little dubious about that undersurface colour call-out. As far as I know, all the low-level Victors kept their anti-flash white on the undersurfaces. Anyway, this one will help me regain the build momentum I lost to the moves of the past few years.
  11. Here is the Revell 1/144 A380 dressed up in 26Decals BA livery, posed above the M4 headed towards Heathrow over Berkshire, a stretch of road where I rather annoyingly now spend a lot of my life at a stand still on twice a day, but with a superb view of these big British ladies either coming into or leaving LHR. Another of my older archive builds dating back to around 2013 I think Thanks for checking in
  12. This isn't a bad kit, although I believe the conning tower is a bit inaccurate. It makes up into a reasonably sized model that looks pretty good. I decided on a North Korean submarine after seeing some picture of Kimmy boy riding on one. I liked the green top colour, I have no idea what the anti-fowling paint colour was, but a wine red colour seemed plausible enough. I had a bit of fun with weathering, I figured these things would be pretty battered, they are over 50 years old afterall.
  13. A pair of Revell 1/144 British Speedbirds both wearing 26Decals, posed taking off with the visor and nose in take off position, and similarly posed for her decent and arrival back to glorious LHR in the hey day of supersonic travel. Although these models were not built until many years later, I built these 2 as a reminder of the 2 registrations that flew me into JFK and back to LHR back in 1999. A serious unforgettable memory - takeoff was like riding a Saturn V bareback.. Nose and visor areas corrected using Braz resin lovely yummy parts
  14. One of my favourite archive builds, here is the Minicraft Boeing 777 flying our colours while holding over Bermuda. Another of my archive build dating back, probably to around 2013-ish. I used 26 Decals and the Braz 777 nose correction lump of resin and engine nacelles to correct the shape of the kit. At the time of initially showing this, I had quite a few BA staff comments on it (all of whom were quick to spot my wing exit decal error) and it eventually sold off to a BA employee I believe. Mind you, the BA onlookers all agreed their "beach fleet" they use on the Bermuda route were equal
  15. Hello, This is one of my latest completions. It was a shelf of doom citizen for some time but last year I decided to finish it and here it is. I did some scratch building and experimenting and I am just about satisfied with the final result. Step by step build article: -> To The Build Article Best regards M.
